Rodney Cook and Jimmy Mullins once again took center stage at ASA Franklin County Speedway during the Pro-Line Trailer Sales Late Model Stock Car portion of the Crescent Heights Tire, Lube and Deli 250 Saturday August 23rd.

Cook made his way to the front of the field from his third place starting position in the first 35-lap feature and held off a strong challenge from Rick Sigmon to take the checkered flag. Sigmon finished second with Travis Hurt, Jimmy Mullins and Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell next across the finish line. It was the first appearance of the season for Campbell at the 3/8ths mile bullring.

Mullins benefitted from the top four inversion in the second race and led every lap of the race to take the win. Sigmon was strong again and took a second place finish again. Cook, Campbell and Timmy Hogan rounded out the top five in the nightcap.

Hogan held off a fierce challenge from Dennis Holdren to take the 30-lap PMZ Group Mod4 division feature. Holdren dogged Hogan the last half of the race but could not make the pass. Michael McGuire, Terry Mitchell and Jonathan Smith completed the top five finishers.

Scott Foley took the 30-lap Alan Mullins Automotive UCAR division checkers. He was followed to the line by teammate Chad Burnopp, Chris Amos, Randy Argabright and Charles Seagraves in the top five.

Tommy Adams, Jr. collected win number nine in the 30-lap Berglund Automotive Street Stock division race. Brian Sutphin continued his strong late season run with a runner up finish. Wayne Wilson, Kyle Dudley and Steven Weeks rounded out the top five.

Kevin Berkstresser, Jason Adkins and Tyler Roach were the top three finishers in the Virginia Mini Cup Racing Association 25-lap event.
