  • Late Model  

  • All cars will compete using the NASCAR LATE MODEL STOCK CAR RULES.

    • Mini Stock Rules
      350 Carburetor, same as late-model stock
      Up to a 2" carburetor plate may be used
      Lbs per CC
      45% right tire weight
      9" ford rear end or stock
      No quick change rear end
      Non adjustable panard bar
      40 over bored
      Stock configuration pistons
      If stock rods not used must run 50 lbs heavier
      4 weight jacks is allowed
      No MSD boxes allowed
      No roller cams, and no roller rockers
      Bodies must be steel, aluminum or fiberglass
      Plastic nose and tail, and fiberglass hoods will be allowed
      Clutch pressure plate flywheel 28 lbs
      Drive shaft must be steel 3 1/2" diameter
      13"x 8" Wheels Only, tires are to be (Hoosier Sportsman)
      You may buy 2 tires every three weeks
      5" ride height
      If you run tube chassis, 200 lbs will be added; 46% right side weight;
      Weight will be added to equal field
      Inspector will make final decisions, and will add weight accordingly to make field competitive

     

    • U-Car Rules
      Stock bodies only
      May only cut out enough for roll cage to fit
      If dash is removed 50 lbs will be added
      Camber allowed in front wheels
      No camber allowed in rear wheels
      No adjustments in rear can be made
      Stock engine
      All cars must have approved roll cage
      Stock rims only
      Headers or manifolds allowed
      Measure from front wheel to rear wheel can be no more than 1/2" difference from side to side
      Must run same size tires on all four rims
      Exhaust must come out from under car
      Pump gas only. No racing fuel or no fuel additives
      Weight will be added to equal up the field
      5" ride height
      Car must maintain stock as possible
      No computer chips or hot computers
      Inspector has final say in rules and decision of weight being placed
       

    STREET STOCK RULES

    Bodies
    Aftermarket bodies or body parts allowed.

    Maybe fabricated from sheet metal.
    Grills must be fabricated.
    All cars must have fire walls & floor pans.
    Body mounts may be removed.
    Kick panels are required.
    Hoods, deck lids, doors, front fenders & bumpers may be skinned out.
    Trunk compartments must be sealed off drivers compartment by sheet metal, with no holes in it.

    Frames
    Stock production frames only,
    NO TUBE FRAMES ALLOWED.
    Intermixing of frames permitted.
    All cars must be 5” to frame, or rocker panel on sub frame cars.
    Sub frame cars may be linked. X type link up is allowed.
    Max. tread width is 66.5”.

    Carburetors
    Holley 500 part #4412 are allowed. Cannot be altered, except choke plate may be removed & jet sized changed.
    Only alum. ¾” spacer plates allowed.

    •  The carburetor spacer plate holes must be 1 11/16“


    Electrical Systems
    HEI distributors and
    point type distributor can be used.
    No MSD boxes allowed.
    Main disconnect switch must be mounted in center of dash.
    Battery must be in a covered box & secured.

    Cooling System
    Any type radiators allowed.

    Steel fans must have a min. of 4 blades.
    Electric fans allowed.
    Radiators must have over flow catch cans.

    Rear Ends
    9” ford rear ends are allowed, but all mounting brackets and location must mount back in stock location.
    Locker type, spools or limited slip rear ends allowed.
    Floating axles or hubs allowed.
    Racing axles are allowed.
    Any rear gear ratio allowed.

    No quick change rear ends allowed.



    Transmissions
    Any 3 speed automatic transmissions allowed.

    3 or 4 speed manual transmissions allowed.
    All forward gears & reverse must work.
    Metric transmissions allowed.
    Only stock torque convertors with no modifications allowed.
    Torque convertor must 11” dia. Min..
    Drive shafts must be steel, painted white and a min. dia. of 2 ½”.
    Drive shafts must have 2 safety loops.

    UPDATE: Flywheel minimum weight is 23 pounds.

    **Exception** Flywheel in a crate motored Street Stock has to be a minimum of 18 pounds.

     

    Stock type clutch and pressure plate only.  No HP parts.

    Blow proof bell housing required.

    Safety
    Roll cages must be per LMS requirements.
    Racing seat required & fasten to roll cage. (not floor pans).
    Seat belts must be per LMS requirements.  Must be dated within 4 years.
    Window nets are required, & must release from top with seat belt type fasteners.  Must be dated within 6 years.
    All cars must have fire extinguisher within drivers reach while in seat.
    All cars must have a fuel cell & be contained in a metal box.
    Fuel cell may be dropped, but must be 10” min. from ground.  Including fuel cell box.
    Steering wheels must have quick release & center post pad.

    Engines

    Two crate motor options will also be allowed in Street Stock.  (1) 602 – Chevrolet crate will be allowed and can run the 650 Holley HP carburetor with a 1” spacer plate.  (2) 603 – Chevrolet crate which is the ZZ4 will be allowed and can run the 350 Holley carburetor with a ¾” spacer plate.  Carburetor can be reworked to LM stock guidelines.
    Max. C.I. before overbore: GM 350, Ford 351 Mopar 360.
    A max. overbore of .050 allowed only.
    Only stock or stock flat top replacement type pistons allowed.
    Pistons may be 2 or 4 valve relief.
    Only stock connecting rods allowed.
    Only stock cranks, with stock weight allowed.
    Any type of oil pans allowed, except dry sumps.
    Hydraullic cams only, with a max. lift of .450.
    No roller cams allowed.
    Heads – only stock types, double humps and vortex are allowed.
    Heads cannot be less than 62 cc.
    Guide plates, screw in studs, & polly locks are allowed.
    No porting or polishing of any part allowed.
    Only stock intakes & Edelbrock #2101, #2101V are allowed. (
    Intake used with the built motors  must be the edelbrock performer )
    Roller rocker arms allowed.
    Only 1.5 rocker arms allowed.
    Stock or stainless steel valves are allowed. (intake & exhaust).
    Only 1.94 valves allowed.
    Solid motor mounts or OEM type allowed.
    Blocks may be decked to zero.
    No 3 angle valve jobs allowed.
    Aftermarket steel or alum. Pulleys are allowed.
    Engines must be in stock location & can be set back.

    Weight
    All cars must weigh 3200 lbs. with driver with a right side weight of 45% of total car weight..


    Suspension


    Racing shocks are allowed.
    Racing springs are allowed.
    Panhard bars will be allowed.

    Only stock sway bars allowed.
    Springs may be spaced or shimmed in any fashion.
    Screw jacks allowed.
    Steel control arm bushings allowed.
    Neoprene bushing are allowed.
    No drop spindles allowed.
    No aftermarket performance spindles allowed.
    You may change spindles to heavier type by that manufacturer. (Example:Impala spindles)

    No bias or brake adjusters allowed.

    Tires & Wheels
    Update- Must run
    Hoosier 880 Track Tire.
    7” or 8” x 15” wheels allowed. Offset must be the same an all 4.
    Wheel spacers are allowed, and do not have to be same on each wheel.

     


    Exhaust
    Headers of any kind allowed. Even stock types.
    A 2 into 1 collector is allowed.
    Exhaust pipes must exit at, or behind doors.

    • ANY CAR RULES
    • All cars must be completely factory stock, bumper to bumper with no high performance engine options allowed and no modifications to body, chassis, or engine allowed. 

     1.  All glass must be removed before coming to the track except inside mirror and a full windshield which are required.

     2.  No outside mirrors allowed.

     3.  All driver must wear a safety helmet.

     4.  A fire retardant driver’s suit is recommended.

     5.  All doors must be bolted or welded shut.

      6.  All cars must have seat belts or shoulder belt and must have a window net that meet safety requirements.

      7.  Tire must be eight (8) inches width street legal, straight tread only.  No snow or knobby tires allowed. 

      8.  Wheels must be seven (7) inches maximum width made of steel only.  Must all be the same height (14 or 15 inch) and must all four be same offset.  No modification to wheels are allowed.  (All (4) tires must be the same size.)

     9.  No trucks, vans, or station wagons allowed.

     10.  No bars are allowed any place except driver’s area only.  There cannot be any extensions through front or rear fire walls.

     11.  There cannot be any metal removed from any place in car.

    12.  There cannot be any adding of weight any place in car. 

    13.  All cars must have a legible number painted on the doors and roof.  Numbers should be 2 ½ to 3 inches wide and 24 inches high.  No three digit numbers. 

     14.  All cars must be completely cleaned of shattered glass or any other debris before they will be allowed in the track.

    15.    The top three cars must pass a technical inspection after the race.  Decision of the technical inspectors will be final regarding legality.

     

    16.    All cars will start the race in the order in which they register.  First come first serve.

      

    Any car that does not meet the following requirements will forfeit all prize monies, as well as contingency monies, trophies and all points earned in that race.

     1.  The car must be completely stock.

     2.  The car must meet all specifications and safety requirements set

    forth in these rules.

     3.  The car must come directly to the inspection area after the race.

     4.  Everyone associated with the car must exhibit sportsmanlike conduct at all times.

     

     2010 Franklin County Speedway

    Official Fast & Furious Rules

    1. The Fast &Furious Division is Franklin County Speedway’s new front wheel drive (Super U-Car) division for Import and American cars that allows certain performance modifications, but still keeps racing very affordable.

    2. The division is an advanced division like Mini Stock or Mod-4 and is open to any driver no matter their driving experience.

    3. Competing Models 1980 and later American & Import Front Wheel Drive-

    4-Cylinder cars, with a wheelbase of at least of 105 inches.

    4. No Rear Wheel drive, Station Wagons, Vans, or Trucks allowed.

    5. No All-Wheel Drives allowed.

    6. Engine must be from the same manufacture as the car.

    7. Engine may have aftermarket add-ons.

    8. 4-Cylinder Motors only. No 6-Cylinder motors allowed.

    9.  Engine can be rebuilt with a .30 overbore allowed.

    10. Single and Dual Overhead cams allowed.

    11.  No turbos or superchargers allowed.

    12. Engine swaps allowed as long as it comes from the same manufacture

    13. Headers allowed. Exhaust must exit under the car near the rear tire.

    14. Cold Air Intake allowed.

    15. Stock transmission only. Straight or Automatic allowed..

    15. Steel flywheel only.

    16. Racing clutch allowed.

    17. Stock ECM.

    18.Racing gas allowed.

    19. No MSD boxes.

    20.Windshield must be glass or Lexan.

    21. Stock body only. NO steel or fiberglass body.

    22. Body Kit allowed.

    23. Front and rear spoiler allowed.

    24. Sheet metal dash allowed.

    25. All glass other than the windshield must be removed.

    26. Adjustable shock and springs allowed.

    27. Camber allowed front and rear.

    28.  Car must have a 4-inch ride height minimum.

    29. Hoosier Sportsman tires allowed.

    30. Racing wheels allowed. (2 or 4). If you run all four racing wheels you must run all the same offset and if you run two racing wheels they must be on the right side only and stock wheels of the same size on the left.

    31. Backspacing of 2.5 inches allowed.

    32. Full 6-point roll cage required. 3- bars on left driver side and 2- bars on right side made of 1¾ inch 0.95 thick roll bar tubing.

    33. Racing seat required.

    34. 5 point racing harness required.

    35. Weight. 2000-lbs. Minimum.

    36. Speedway Officials have the right to add or reduce the  cars weight as they feel necessary to make for more competition.

    37. Speedway has the right to add or change the rules as they see necessary.
