ATTENTION: All driver and car owners in all divisions. Make sure your cars are not running antifreeze at any time during the season. This includes all divisions. Thanks for your cooperation.

All drivers under 18 years of age will have to have a parental release form.
Children under 12 years of age will not be allowed in the pits without a parental release form. Children under the age of 8 will not be allowed in the pits.
Absolutely no drinking or drug use in pits.
Driver will be responsible for crew members. Each crew member must sign in under driver’s name. Absolutely no fighting. If any team member goes to someone else’s pit with intentions to fight, the entire team will be held responsible.
 1st offense for fighting: $500 fine which will be put in the point fund. Loss of finishing position in the race. And a 2 race suspension.
 2nd offense for fighting: Suspension for the remainder of season – no exceptions.
Any person committing illegal activities will be arrested and prosecuted.

  • LATE MODEL STOCK RULES
  • Will run same rules as Motor Mile Speedway except for the following:
  • UPDATE: Anyone wishing to run the zz4 crate motor  in LMS can run the Holley 650 HP carburetor with a 1” spacer plate weight of 3,000 lbs 45% right side weight.  If Penske type shocks are ran weight must be 3,025 lbs 45% right side weight.:
     
    Cars running built motors , 604 fastburn and the ford create may weigh 3075 lbs with 45% right side weight if penske type shocks are not used.

    Tire Rules:
    (4) scuff tires must be bought each week at the track.. These tires will be used for that race and will be marked.

    1. Tires will be sorted into sets and drawn for at time of purchase.
    2. Any defects found with tires must be brought to the attention of the tire attendant before first practice.
    3. If a tire goes flat after qualifying another tire can be purchased with a track official making the selection.
    4. Tires will not be impounded or recycled.  Take them with you after the race.
    5. As many practice tires as you want can be purchased on race day.

   After tires and fuel are purchased which must be bought at the track on the day of the event pay back will be at least $200 to  take the green flag. 


    STREET STOCK RULES

Bodies
Aftermarket bodies or body parts allowed.

Maybe fabricated from sheet metal.
Grills must be fabricated.
All cars must have fire walls & floor pans.
Body mounts may be removed.
Kick panels are required.
Hoods, deck lids, doors, front fenders & bumpers may be skinned out.
Trunk compartments must be sealed off drivers compartment by sheet metal, with no holes in it.

Frames
Stock production frames only.
Intermixing of frames permitted.
All cars must be 5” to frame, or rocker panel on sub frame cars.
Sub frame cars may be linked. X type link up is allowed.
Max. tread width is 66.5”.

Carburetors
Holley 500 part #4412 are allowed. Cannot be altered, except choke plate may be removed & jet sized changed.
Only alum. ¾” spacer plates allowed.

  •  The carburetor spacer plate holes must be 1 11/16“


Electrical Systems
HEI distributors and
point type distributor can be used.
No MSD boxes allowed.
Main disconnect switch must be mounted in center of dash.
Battery must be in a covered box & secured.

Cooling System
Any type radiators allowed.

Steel fans must have a min. of 4 blades.
Electric fans allowed.
Radiators must have over flow catch cans.

Rear Ends
9” ford rear ends are allowed, but all mounting brackets and location must mount back in stock location.
Locker type, spools or limited slip rear ends allowed.
Floating axles or hubs allowed.
Racing axles are allowed.
Any rear gear ratio allowed.

No quick change rear ends allowed.



Transmissions
Any 3 speed automatic transmissions allowed.

3 or 4 speed manual transmissions allowed.
All forward gears & reverse must work.
Metric transmissions allowed.
Only stock torque convertors with no modifications allowed.
Torque convertor must 11” dia. Min..
Drive shafts must be steel, painted white and a min. dia. of 2 ½”.
Drive shafts must have 2 safety loops.

UPDATE: Flywheel minimum weight is 23 pounds.

**Exception** Flywheel in a crate motored Street Stock has to be a minimum of 18 pounds.

 

Stock type clutch and pressure plate only.  No HP parts.

Blow proof bell housing required.

Safety
Roll cages must be per LMS requirements.
Racing seat required & fasten to roll cage. (not floor pans).
Seat belts must be per LMS requirements.  Must be dated within 4 years.
Window nets are required, & must release from top with seat belt type fasteners.  Must be dated within 6 years.
All cars must have fire extinguisher within drivers reach while in seat.
All cars must have a fuel cell & be contained in a metal box.
Fuel cell may be dropped, but must be 10” min. from ground.  Including fuel cell box.
Steering wheels must have quick release & center post pad.

Engines

Two crate motor options will also be allowed in Street Stock.  (1) 602 – Chevrolet crate will be allowed and can run the 650 Holley HP carburetor with a 1” spacer plate.  (2) 603 – Chevrolet crate which is the ZZ4 will be allowed and can run the 350 Holley carburetor with a ¾” spacer plate.  Carburetor can be reworked to LM stock guidelines.
Max. C.I. before overbore: GM 350, Ford 351 Mopar 360.
A max. overbore of .050 allowed only.
Only stock or stock flat top replacement type pistons allowed.
Pistons may be 2 or 4 valve relief.
Only stock connecting rods allowed.
Only stock cranks, with stock weight allowed.
Any type of oil pans allowed, except dry sumps.
Hydraullic cams only, with a max. lift of .450.
No roller cams allowed.
Heads – only stock types, double humps and vortex are allowed.
Heads cannot be less than 62 cc.
Guide plates, screw in studs, & polly locks are allowed.
No porting or polishing of any part allowed.
Only stock intakes & Edelbrock #2101, #2101V are allowed. (
Intake used with the built motors  must be the edelbrock performer )
Roller rocker arms allowed.
Only 1.5 rocker arms allowed.
Stock or stainless steel valves are allowed. (intake & exhaust).
Only 1.94 valves allowed.
Solid motor mounts or OEM type allowed.
Blocks may be decked to zero.
No 3 angle valve jobs allowed.
Aftermarket steel or alum. Pulleys are allowed.
Engines must be in stock location & can be set back.

Weight
All cars must weigh 3200 lbs. with driver with a right side weight of 45% of total car weight..

UPDATE:  Stock frame cars weigh 3,200 lbs. Tube cars with stock front clip weigh 3,400 lbs.

Street Stock cars can run aftermarket spindles effective 07-04-08. 


Suspension


Racing shocks are allowed.
Racing springs are allowed.
Panhard bars will be allowed.

Only stock sway bars allowed.
Springs may be spaced or shimmed in any fashion.
Screw jacks allowed.
Steel control arm bushings allowed.
Neoprene bushing are allowed.
No drop spindles allowed.
No aftermarket performance spindles allowed.
You may change spindles to heavier type by that manufacturer. (Example:Impala spindles)

No biasis or brake adjusters allowed.

Tires & Wheels
Update- Must run
Hoosier 880 Track Tire.
7” or 8” x 15” wheels allowed. Offset must be the same an all 4.
Wheel spacers are allowed, and do not have to be same on each wheel.

 


Exhaust
Headers of any kind allowed. Even stock types.
A 2 into 1 collector is allowed.
Exhaust pipes must exit at, or behind doors.

General

All cars must be neat appearing.

All cars must run fuel bought at race track. 


  • UCAR RULES
  • UCAR RULE UPDATE: All UCARS must use pop rivets in their sheet metal. Sheet metal screws are not acceptable. This will be monitored closely by FCS officials.
  • Car Types
    -1980 or newer Domestic and Import. Maximum wheel base of 105"
    A complete stock body, frame and suspension. No bracing anywhere except inside drivers compartment. Dash can be fabricated. All insulation under hood must be removed.
    -Stock carburetor/fuel injection system for that make and model. No turbo’s or supercharged systems allowed.
    -Minimum Weight by engine> 8 valve=2350lbs, 12 valve=2400lbs, 16 valve=2450lbs .
  • UCAR RULE UPDATE: QUAD 4 ENGINES WITH 140 HP AND ABOVE MUST ADD 200LB RIGHT SIDE WEIGHT.
  •                                                                                                                                                                  -Camber Rule: May use stock allowances for make and model of car only. No cutting, notching, or any modifications whatsoever to alter stock camber adjustments.
  • Update: No more than three (3) degrees camber allowed on the right front.
    -4 cylinder only.
    -Front wheel drive only.
    -Battery must be in a box and can be relocated.
    -Stock unaltered rear end for that make and model.
    -Passenger tires only.  Tires must be stock for make and model of car. Wheels and tires must be of like size. Right front must have oversized lugs. No low profile tires or performance tires.
  • All 4 tires must be the same size and size that came on car from factory stock. Exception: If any car cannot achieve more than 2 degrees camber on the right front the next size larger wheel or tire may be run on the right front only. 
  •  ( EXAMPLE:  three 14" wheels with a 15" on the right front.)
  • Any DOT tire will be allowed.
  •  
  • UCAR RULE UPDATE: ALL UCARS MUST RUN STOCK AIR FILTERS (NO K&N OR PERFORMANCE /AFTERMARKET ELEMENTS ARE ALLOWED)
     
    Mandatory Modifications and Rules
    -4 point roll cage. Drivers door must be reinforced with a door bar ( 1 3/4" by .090 wall seamless steel tubing) or a leaf spring separated and welded to the outside of the door. No sharp ends.
    -Approved helmets, racing seat belts, gloves, and driving suit required.
    -All exterior glass (tail lights, headlights, side mirrors, door glass, side windows, rear window, etc.) Must be removed. 
    -Gas tank: If stock gas tank is ahead of rear axle it may remain in place. If stock gas tank is behind rear axle it must be replaced with a fuel cell . Fuel cell must be covered, secured, and located in the trunk.
    -Window net on drivers side.
    -Two hood pins in the front part of the hood AND to the rear of the trunk.
    -Doors must be welded shut.
     -Car number must be at least 24" tall on doors and roof. Car number (at least 6" tall) on upper corner of passenger side windshield.
    -No duplicate numbers. Number on roof must be read from the drivers side. No duct tape numbers or spray painted numbers, if you must paint your numbers you must use some form of stencil. UCARS at FCS must look as good as possible for the fans.
     -Must use pump gas or may buy track fuel only.
     -Must use Aluminum Racing Seat.
     .
    Modifications Allowed
    -Removal of air conditioner condensor and A/C pump.
    -Removal of inertia switch (Fuel shut off-Ford).
    -Removal of rear seat (Must cover rear fire wall with aluminum or steel).
    -Electric cooling fan may be wired to run constantly.
    -Lead ballest allowed. MUST be securely fastened with drivers number painted on it
  • Power steering pumps can be removed
  • Steering columns can be changed to quick release type.

    Things that will be checked
    -Stock wheels.
    -Stock suspension in stock position, camber, right front camber.
    -4 wheel working stock brakes.
    -Hood and trunk lids must have hinges.
    -Stock transmission.
    -No locked differential.
    -Aluminum Racing Seat
    -No body modifications - stock ride height.
    -No removing of sheet metal such as hoods, trunks, doors, or interior sheet metal. 



    -Management claim rule in effect at all times. Claim amount is $500.00
    (Gentleman this will be utilized in 2008).
    -We are going to put the “Stock” back into Stock Car Racing. If you do not see it in the rules or specifications...DO NOT DO IT!
  •  
  • ANY CAR RULES
  • ANY CAR RULE CHANGE: YOU MAY RUN ANY CAR THAT IS STREET LEGAL, FULL SIZE, COMPACT, FOREIGN OR DOMESTIC. ALL LIGHTS AND GLASS EXCEPT FOR WINDSHIELD MUST BE REMOVED.
  • All cars must be completely factory stock, bumper to bumper with no high performance engine options allowed and no modifications to body, chassis, or engine allowed. 

 1.  All glass must be removed before coming to the track except inside mirror and a full windshield which are required.

 2.  No outside mirrors allowed.

 3.  All driver must wear a safety helmet.

 4.  A fire retardant driver’s suit is recommended.

 5.  All doors must be bolted or welded shut.

  6.  All cars must have seat belts or shoulder belt and must have a window net that meet safety requirements.

  7.  Tire must be eight (8) inches width street legal, straight tread only.  No snow or knobby tires allowed. 

  8.  Wheels must be seven (7) inches maximum width made of steel only.  Must all be the same height (14 or 15 inch) and must all four be same offset.  No modification to wheels are allowed.  (All (4) tires must be the same size.)

 9.  No trucks, vans, or station wagons allowed.

 10.  No bars are allowed any place except driver’s area only.  There cannot be any extensions through front or rear fire walls.

 11.  There cannot be any metal removed from any place in car.

12.  There cannot be any adding of weight any place in car. 

13.  All cars must have a legible number painted on the doors and roof.  Numbers should be 2 ½ to 3 inches wide and 24 inches high.  No three digit numbers. 

 14.  All cars must be completely cleaned of shattered glass or any other debris before they will be allowed in the track.

15.    The top three cars must pass a technical inspection after the race.  Decision of the technical inspectors will be final regarding legality.

 

16.    All cars will start the race in the order in which they register.  First come first serve.

 

17.    All cars will run transponders for scoring purposes.  The transponders will be rented from the track at sign-in.  Deposit will be required and refunded when transponder is turned in the night of the race.

18.    Entry fee will be $50.00 per car.  This does NOT include driver or crew.

19.    Purse will be $1,000.00 paid to winner only (Keep in mind it is very important to finish the race).

20.    In the event of a wreck or car quits running the caution will be given.  All cars must stop on the track immediately.  Driver of disabled car must get out and come to his pit.  The green will be given and the race will resume.  Cars will be left on the track.  Any car races will consist of 50 laps.

21.  In the event you do not stop when caution is given scoring stops for the rest of the event.

 

 

Any car that does not meet the following requirements will forfeit all prize monies, as well as contingency monies, trophies and all points earned in that race.

 1.  The car must be completely stock.

 2.  The car must meet all specifications and safety requirements set

forth in these rules.

 3.  The car must come directly to the inspection area after the race.

 4.  Everyone associated with the car must exhibit sportsmanlike conduct at all times.

 5.  Cars with flat tires will not be scored.  A Fine of $50 will be assessed after 1 lap.

6.  Cars exceeding 20 mph in the pits will be disqualified.


MOD 4 RULES

 * Competing Models:

 Competition will be open to 1964 and later models of American and foreign four passenger sedans sold in the United States.  No Cosworth Vegas.  No mid-engine or front wheel drivers.

* Car Bodies Sub-Compact Cars Only:

Any car that was previously run and was not a sub-compact car will be allowed.  No new non-subcompact cars.

* Body Specifications

A. Body must be stock appearing in all dimensions.  After market bodies are permitted.  Hood may be fiberglass or steel.  Nose and rear bumper cover may be aftermarket plastic and painted same as car.  All steel body panels must be no less that 22 gauge in thickness.

B. No lowering of body on frame.

C. No offset in any way.

D. Hood and deck lid must have positive, magnetic steel, type fasteners.

E. Inner body panels and fenders may be removed but must be safe and neat appearing.  No sheet metal may be added to the car interior (trim, vent, etc.) except to seal front and rear firewalls and over exhaust pipe if run through door.

F. Any fabricated sheet metal (doors, etc.) must conform to original dimensions and be made of 22 gauge steel minimum.  This rule will be strictly enforced.

G. Headlight and taillight openings must be covered with aluminum.

H. Roll cages must not be set back or offset when installed in car.

I. Floor pan on right side may be raised eight (8) inches maximum for exhaust clearance.  Fire wall must remain stock.

J. May interchange bodies on frame.  Front-wheel drive bodies on rear-wheel drive frame, but wheel base and tread width must remain same as for frame being used.

* Roof Height

A. Stock production bodies must remain as stock.  No chopping or lowering of roof.

B. Aftermarket body must maintain a minimum of 48 inches in height when measured 10 inches back from the center of the windshield.

C. Rear of roof must maintain stock configuration.

* Body Height

Must be stock for car body being run.

* Ground Clearance

Minimum five (5) inches.  If frame rails have been added, measurement will be made at frame rails or uni-body seam (lip) where rocker panels and body are joined, whichever.

* Spoilers

A. Maximum five (5) inches front and rear

B. Cannot extend past front bumper.

C. Must have minimum five (5) inch ground clearance.

D. Rear spoiler cannot be wider than deck lid.

E. No lips or bends allowed.

F. No homemade or aftermarket air dams allowed.

G. No rear supports or adjusters.

H. Minimum spoiler thickness of 1/8”

* Dashboard

All cars must run complete dash or similar design out of 20 gauge sheet metal or aluminum.

* Firewall

Engine firewall must remain stock and no further back than four (4) inches from cylinder head.

A. All race cars must have firewalls made of steel, welded and not riveted.

B. Stock or full sheet metal (min. 20 gauge thickness) required on rear firewall and inside trunk compartment.

C. All holes must be sealed with fire retarding material.  No spray foam allowed.

* Identification and Marking

Refer to General Rules

* General Engine Eligibility/Characteristics

A. Different manufacturer’s engines will be allowed in different manufacturer’s cars.  (For example, Nissan engines will be allowed in Ford cars, etc.) These engines must mount in the same location as the stock engine that came out.

B. Must mount in stock location.

C. Four (4) cylinder engines only.

D. No cross-breeding of engine parts permitted except for cylinder hears.  Heads do not have to match the engine but must be manufacturer stock production.  No truck hears.

E. Stock stroke must be retained.  All short blocks must be stock.

F. .060 overbore permitted on all engines.  Blocks may not be decked over .020”.

G. GM 151 permitted in Monza, Vega, and Sunbird bodies only.  Also, 1987-1989 2.0 Liter GM engine allowed.  No high performance GM 151 parts permitted.

H. No truck engines or parts.

I. No o-ringing of block allowed.

J. 2500 cc maximum engine size allowed, with the exception of the Dodge 2600 cc engine, which is permitted.

* Overall Car Weight

A. One pound per cc including driver.  Maximum left side weight will be 55%.  Engine cc must be painted on the hood, and car must weigh at least this amount after race.  Minimum weight is 2300 lbs.

B. Car weight may be adjusted to equal competition by speedway officials.

C. Nissan and Toyota minimum weight 2,000 lbs or one (1) pound per cc whichever is greater.

D. GM minimum weight 2200 lbs.

* Detailed Engine Requirements

            * Pistons

                        A. May use stock or aftermarket cast or forged pistons.

                        B. Must have same configuration as stock.  Nissan 22 engine must run stock type dish pistons.  Flat top pistons allowed only in engines that came that way.  Toyota 22R Engines may run dome pistons.

                        C. No modifications.  Bottoms of pistons cannot be milled or altered.

                        D. Flat part of piston may not protrude out of block.

                        E. Pistons must be installed same as stock.

 

            * Rods

                        A. Stock-appearing, stock length, steel aftermarket rods permitted.

                        B. No hollow rods.

                        C. Maximum length 5.2 for Fords.

                        D. Stock rods must be stock length and maintain all stock dimensions for motor being run.  Balance pads cannot be ground off.  No cross-breeding allowed.

                        E. NDM Part #52205 or its equivalent may be used in Ford engines.  Toyota Engines may run H. Beam style rods

            * Crankshaft

            Only stock production cranks for motor being run allowed.

                        A. No modifications other than balancing permitted.  Balancing must be done by drilling, not grinding or polishing.

                        B. No high performance or knife edges cranks.

                        C. No grinding or polishing.

                        D. Aftermarket balances permitted but must be steel and the same size, thickness, and diameter as stock.

            * Camshaft

                        A. Any single camshaft permitted.

                        B. Any lifter solid or hydraulic permitted.

                        C. Aftermarket or high performance cam pulleys permitted.

                        D. Stock ratio roller rocker arms permitted on GM engines only.

            * Heads, Valves, Valve Springs

                        A. Only manufacturer stock production heads for engine being run.

                        B. No modifications of hear (included angle cutting, porting. Etc.)

                        C. No blending of valve job with rotor tool to head casting.  Bowl cuts will be in accordance with LMSC guidelines

                        D. May use cheap replacement valves.  Aftermarket valves must be same shape, size, and maintain the same dimensions as factory stock.  No high performance or racing valves permitted.  Stainless steel valves permitted.

                        E. Must use single valve springs only.  Shims permitted.

                        F. Flat spring dampers allowed – stock diameter.

                        G. Multi-angle valve job will be permitted.

            * Carburetors

                        A. All Fords will run Holley 2300 two-barrel (model #7448) carburetor.  No modifications.  Must be stock out of box.  The only alterations permitted are: the choke may be removed and the power valve size and jet size may be changed.

                        B. Nissan, Toyota, and Chevrolets will run Holley 2300 two-barrel (model #7448) reworked per NASCAR LMSC rule book.

                        C. A one piece aluminum carb spacer (adapter) maximum 2 inches in thickness may be installed between intake manifold and carb.  Holes must be cut perpendicular to base of carb.  No taper or bevels.  No modifications to plate.

            * Carburetor Spacer and Gaskets

                        A. Only a one (1) piece solid aluminum carburetor spacer, a minimum 0.700 inch, maximum two (2) inch in thickness, must be installed between intake manifold and carburetor.

                        B. The spacer must be centered on the intake manifold and have two (2) holes with 1-1 ½ inch openings located in the center that match the base of the carburetor.  Holes must be cut perpendicular with the base of the carburetor.  Taper, bevels, or any modifications will not be permitted.

                        C. A one (1) piece two (2) hold paper gasket maximum 0.065 inch thickness that matches the interior dimensions of the carburetor throttle base plate must be installed between the carburetor and space.  A one (1) piece paper gasket maximum 0.065 inch thickness must be installed between the spacer and intake manifold.  The gasket must be no larger than the top of the intake manifold.

            * Intakes

                        A. No spacers or heat shields.

                        B. Aftermarket intakes allowed.

                        C. Plenum may be modified to adapt to carburetor adapter plate only.  No other grinding or modifications allowed.

            * Air Cleaner

                        A. Round pleated paper air cleaner max. 14 inches in diameter.

                        B. Height min. 1-1 ½ inches, max. 2 ½ inches.

                        C. No hats, ducts, or baffles.

                        D. Must not protrude through hood.

                        E. No openings in hood or cowl.  Hood must seal to fenders and cowl.

                        F. Bottom of air cleaner cannot be above choke horn.

            * Engine/Electrical Systems

            Only stock OEM starters permitted.

                        A. Stock appearing for make and model.

                        B. No magnetos or MSD boxes.

                        C. Racing coils permitted.

            * A push to stop emergency engine shut off switch mounted on the steering wheel is recommended.

            * Battery

            The battery must be installed in an enclosed metal box complete with a cover, located in front of the rear axle housing or behind the driver’s seat.  The battery box must be mounted in side the frame rails and cannot extend below the bottom of the frame rail.  The battery mounting position must be acceptable to Track Officials.  Any battery that would be installed during the race must be installed in a battery box.

            * Water Pump

            Stock production magnetic steel water pumps only.

            * Engine Cooling Systems

                        A. Stock production radiators only or cheap aluminum racing radiator allowed.

                        B. Minimum of one (1) quart overflow catch can required.

                        C. All radiator overflow hoses must exit to the right rear corner of the car.

                        D. Toyota may reroute water line to intake.

            * Fans

                        A. Stock type or electric fans may be used.  Stock type must be at least four (4) blades and pitched.  Stock type must have fan shroud over top of fan.

                        B. Aftermarket belt pulley permitted.

            * Engine Lubrication

                        A. Must use stock lubrication system for car being used.

                        B. Oiling system must be factory stock with no modifications.

                        C. Cheap aftermarket oil pans allowed.  No windage trays.  Sumps added to the bottom of the pan only.  Maximum 7 quart oil pan only.

            * Engine Exhaust System

                        A. Exhaust pipes must remain same size from collector back.  No header wrap allowed.

                        B. Aftermarket header permitted.

                        C. Minimum ground clearance on pipe is three (3) inches.

* Drive Train

            * Clutch Assembly

                        A. Stock type clutch and pressure plate only.

                        B. No aftermarket or high performance parts.

                        C. Minimum weight of clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel (minus bolts) is 28 pounds.

            * Flywheel

                        A. Stock type flywheel only.  ID number cannot be removed.

                        B. Must be stock for engine being run.

                        C. No aftermarket or high performance parts.

                        D. No aluminum flywheels permitted on Fords.  Aluminum flywheels are allowed on Nissan and Toyota only.

 

            * Bell Housing

                        A. Blow proof bell housing recommended.

                        B. If stock bell housing is used, a scatter shield of belt material must be installed to floor pan.

            * Transmissions

                        A. Must run standard OEM three (3), four (4) or five (5) speed manual transmission with all gears in working order.

                        B. No automatics.

            * Drive Shaft

                        A. Only stock drive shaft permitted.

                        B. Must be painted white.

                        C. Two (2) 360 degree drive shaft loops of ¼ inch thick and two (2) inch wide solid steel required located six (6) inches to twelve (12) inches from each universal joint.

                        D. No aluminum drive shafts.

            * Rear Axle

                        A. Must be stock, standard production assembly.

                        B. Posi-traction and locked units allowed.

                        C. No quick change rears allowed.

                        D. Non-adjustable pan hard bars allowed.  Must mount in stock location with stock brackets and bushings and must be mounted with the horizontal center line of the axle housing.

                        E. 7 inch, Eight inch or nine inch Ford rear ends allowed.  No offsets.  MUST use stock mounts for car being run and rear end must be in the stock position.

                        F. No independent rear axle assemblies allowed.

                        G. No cambered rear ends.  Zero (0) degree camber with the rear axles level.

            * Brakes

            Stock brake system for car being run.  Steel braided brake lines permitted.

            * Wheels

                        A. Eight (8) inch maximum width permitted.

                        B. Must be 13 inch wheel with same offset on all four wheels.

                        C. Car numbers must be painted on wheels.

            * Tires

                        A. Hoosier (Sportsman) is the track tire and is the only tire permitted.

                        B. No pressure relief valves permitted.

            * Frames

                        A. All stock frame sections must be retained.

                        B. No tubular or non-stock frames.

                        C. Minimum body ground clearance is five (5) inches.

                        D. No lightening of frames.

                        E. Link up of rear frame is permitted.

                        F. May interchange bodies on frames.  Must use wheel base and tread width of frame being used.  Bodies and roll cages cannot be set back on the frame.

                        G.  Re-enforcing behind bumpers is permitted.

            * Suspension

                        A. Only one (1) steel shock or strut assembly per wheel.  The shocks and/or strut cartridges will be controlled by a $300.00 claimer rule.  Any top five finisher in the race may claim any of the other top five finishers shocks from that event.  The claim must be made in writing within 20 minutes after the event accompanied by the $300.00 cash.  Anyone not allowing their shocks to be claimed will be suspender a minimum of two racing events and fined a minimum of $300.00.

                        B. Only stock standard production sway bars.  No rear sway bars allowed.

                        C. Spindles and hub assemblies must be stock.  Right front may be re-enforced or may use a safety hub.

                        D. A-frames and ball joints must be stock with no modifications.

                        E. Racing springs and lowering blocks, spacers, and shims permitted.

                        F. Screw jacks permitted.

                        G. May move shock tower for camber adjustment only.  Must be stock shock towers mounted in stock location.

            * Wheelbase

            Wheelbase must be stock for frame being run.  Left and right sides must be with ½ inch.

            * Tread Width

            Maximum tread width is 64 inches.

            *Steering Components

                        A. Must be stock for car being run. No modifications.

                        B. Ford rack & pinion may be used on Toyota and Nissan to save on cost.

            * Roll Bars and Construction Guidelines

            Refer to Section 201 or Construction Diagrams in Back of Book

            * Brakes

                        A. Working four (4) wheel brakes mandatory.

                        B. Must be stock, original equipment for frame being run only.

                        C. No lightening of brake parts.

            * Fuel

            Track gas required.  No additives.

            * Fuel System

            Minimum fuel cell capacity is eight (8) gallons.  Excluding size and capacity, all fuel cells must meet the standard safety requirements.

            * Electrical fuel pumps permitted only when used with a Mercury cutoff switch connected to the oil pressure switch.  Fuel pump must be mounted in engine compartment.

            * No electric fuel pumps allowed in trunk.

* Safety and Construction Guidelines

            Refer to Section 5 and Section 201.

* General

            * Cars must be neat appearing.
