Desk-Sports Story-FCS Race Report #4 Author-Flipper Callaway- Bobby Gillespie of Floyd won the 25-Late Model Stock feature Saturday night at Franklin County Speedway. Gillespie held off Steve Dalton, for his first win of the season. Gillespie drove a red Camero, which was so new it didn’t have any numbers. “Bobby was really beating down the straight-aways.” Dalton said. “My carburetor acted like it had a rag stuck in it.” Garry Davis of Christiansburg finished third, after blowing an engine, in last weeks prerace practice. Haley Holdren won the 25-lap Mini Stock race, for his second win of the season. Point leader Cody Woodward 15, was second. Teddy Lawless of Stuart won the 25-lap Street Stock race. Jonathan Weaver of Moneta was second. Issac Lavinder of Glade Hill won the first 15-lap Super U-Car race, after the top two finishers, Breeze Linkenhoker and Chad Arrington were disqualified for being to low. Chris Amos won the second Super U-Car feature. Jason Janney of Rocky Mount and Joey Phillips of Floyd both won 15-lap U-Car features. Other Winners: Brian Feazell-Mini Cup, Michael Bennett- Kids U-Car.
